Recipe Marathon # 4th day -Payatham Laadu

Payatham parupu is called as splitted green gram. Laddu means Urundai. Its taste will be delicious and it is also good for health. Here I used less quantity of ghee than usual ratio.

Ingredients

Payatham paruppu – 1 cup

Sugar – 1 cup

Cardamom – 2 nos

Ghee – ¼ cup

Cashew(splitted) -15 nos

Raisin -15 nos

Dry roast the Payatham Paruppu, elachi together & grind it into fine powder in a mixie. Now grind the sugar as same as payatham paruppu. Add little ghee in a kadai, roast cashew & raisin. Now mix all ingredients, stir it well. Heat the ghee & pour it little by little into the prepared mixture & make it small lemon size ball.

Note:In mixie we could get that much fine powder. If we grind the paruppu finely the taste will be yummy. Ghee should be hot while making Urundai or else Urundai will break.
