Ven Poosani Raitha

Recipe marathon2# 16th day

Ash gourd is called venpoosani….. It is good for diabetic & very good for intestine heat.


Grated ven poosani - 1 cup

Curd – 1 cup

G.chilly – 2 nos

Ginger (chopped) -2 tsp

Coriander (chopped) -1 tbs

For tempering

Olive oil – 1 tsp

Mustard -1 tsp

Bengal gram – 2 tbs

Hing - 3 pinch

Salt - as per taste


Chop g.chilly. Beat curd by spoon. Add oil in kadai, put mustard & let it spluts. Add Bengal gram, asafoedita, hing, chopped g.chilly, ginger, curry leaves. Add this tempered mixture into grated poosani. Now add this mixture into beaten curd; mix well with salt. Garnish with coriander leaves.
