Carrot Halwa

Recipe marathon2# 10th day
Carrot Halwa is always yummy. Vitamins may reduce when preparing it as Halwa but can enjoy the delicious taste.


Ingredients

Carrot(medium) -2 nos

Sugar - less than 1/2 cup

Milk - 1 cup

Elachi - 2 nos

badam - 5 counts

Pista - 5-7 counts


Here i have used Australian carrots. After grated, it comes to 1.75 cups.Wash & peel the carrot, then grate it. Boil the milk with ½ cup of water. After 2 minutes add grated carrot to the boiling milk, let it cook till it reduces its volume as thick consistency. Add a tsp ghee, roast cashew nuts to brown color. Now add cooked carrot, keep the stove in medium flame and smash it by ladle. Here add powdered elachi, sugar & stir it well. Add 3 tsp of ghee & roasted cashew into the mixture. When it gets off from the kadai switch off the stove. Garnish it with Vertically chopped badam & pista


Note:
when it is in loose (thala thala) consistency remove the Halwa from the flame or else it will become hard & powdered.

    Ramya Austra... carrots r stroger than our usual indian carrots & also it takes more time to cook that's y ive added 1/2 cup of water with milk.Aus..carrots r always good in taste.

    Roopa.... badam & pista r good in hdl & it'll reduce bad cholestrol... carrot is rich vitamin A & having beta carotene but when adding with milk & sugar v will gain fat so added nuts generously dear... and it'll be crunchy btw we've nut... when eating... we like it...... apparam joggingo jogging than..hahaaa...
