Mushroom Briyani

Mushroom is good for both diabetic & blood pressure. It reduces cholesterol in blood and helps in balancing sugar level in blood.

Ingredients

Basmathy rice – 1 cup

Onion – 2 nos

Tomato – 1 no

Fresh peas – ¾ cup

Bay leaf – 1 no

Clove – 1 no

Cinnamon – small piece

Cardamom – 2 no

Marati mogu – 1 no

Ani seed (annachi poo) – ½ piece

Mint leaves –10 stalks

Coriander leaves – 5 stalks

g.chilly (bombay) – 2 no

Ginger & garlic paste – 2 tsp

Cashew –5 no

Poppy seed –1 tsp

Coconut grated – 1 tbsn

Chilly powder - ¾ tsp

Oil – 1 tbs

Ghee – 1 tbs

Clean mushroom in lemon juice, before adding it to the dish & then chop it. Soak rice for about 15 minutes. Grind mint, coriander & g.chilly to paste form. Grind cashew, poppy seed & coconut. Chop onion & tomato. Grind 1 onion & few pieces of tomato in paste form. Now add oil into kadai add all the whole garam masala mentioned above. Add chopped onion; stir till it becomes golden colour. Add ginger, garlic paste, stir it for 5-7 seconds & add green paste after a while; add chopped mushroom, peas, onion & tomato paste. Cook it for 5 minutes. Here add cashew paste & chilly powder, stir well for 2-3 minutes. Now add soaked rice & ghee leave it upto 15 minutes & switch off the stove orwhen preparing it in cooker leave 2 whistles.
