Maida Murukku
Maida murukku tastes really yummy & without adding butter it came out so crispy
Ingredients
Maida - 2 cups
Urad dal flour – ¼ cup or 5 tbs
Jeera – 2 tsp
Asafeotida - 2-3 pinch
Oil – to fry
Salt - as per taste
Take Maida in a cotton cloth; steam it in an idli cooker for abt 30mts. After it gets cool sieve the maida to avoid lumps. Now add all the ingredients together & mix it well, pour 1 tbs hot oil into the flour. Now by adding sufficient water make it as dough consistency. Heat oil in a kadai in right temperature, squeeze the dough through muruku mould (single round achu) into hot oil, deep fry both sides & when hizzing sound goes down, take out the murukku from oil.
Note : When using maida to steam in pressure cooker, weight is not reqd.
