Milagu Aval

Beaten rice called aval in tamil, poha in hindi.

Aval – 1/2 cup
Pepper – 2 tsp
Jeera – 2 tsp

for tempering
Oil – ½ tsp
Mustard ½ tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Hing – 1 pinch
Curry leaves – 5-7 counts

Clean & wash aval 2 times, let it soak for 15 mintues with less amount of water. Powder pepper & jeera coarsely with the help of mixie. In a pan add oil, put mustard seeds; let it spluts, now add urad dal, hing curry leaves. Add powdered pepper & jeera stir it for some seconds. Finally add soaked aval & salt stir it continuously for 2 minutes. Have it as simple break fast.
Do not add too much of water for soaking aval then it will become mashy. It becomes soft with very less water.
